posted 08/13/2010 Fall Lacrosse Clinic for 9th, 8th and 7th grade boys.
Fall clinic coached by the High School Coaching Staff: Chris Grassi- Head Coach Varsity; Scott Stampp-Head Coach Junior Varsity.
Intense clinic for boys looking to make lacrosse a primary sport. Emphasis on skill and game situations. Registration will be on a first come basis limited by positions. 7 Attack; 7 Middies and 8-9 Defense including goalie. This is not a beginners clinic.
Note from Coach Grassi:
How will you child benefit from this intensive Fall clinic? During my time at Pomperaug I have noticed that the majority of kids enter the HS lacking some of the skills needed to excel at the HS level. In addition, every lacrosse team has its own language/terminology. The sooner the HS coaching staff starts to work with your kids the easier they will have it when they get to the HS. My plan is to run this clinic as I would a HS varsity practice. There will be a ton of game oriented drills that focus on playing offense and defense as a team. As a group we will challenge each other every Sunday in order to instill the determination and confidence needed to make it at the HS level. By understanding and running the HS drills at the 7th and 8th grade level it reduces the amount of explanation needed at the HS level. If every one is familiar with the drills we can focus on running the drill instead of explaining the drill.
Place: Long Meadow Elementary School.

Dates: 9/12, 9/19, 9/26, 10/3, 10/17, 10/24
