Player Equipment List
First timers - We have a program with Play it Again Sports in Brookfield. Check the website or call them directly. They have great deals and sell both new and used equipment.
Also mention "starter package"
Boys:
Mandatory Equipment
An Approved NOCSAE Lacrosse Helmet (A properly fitted Hockey Helmet is approved for Bantam players).
Mouthpiece (The mouthpiece must be a highly visible color and it must have a strap which can attach to the helmet facemask. Buy two, fit them both, and then keep one in the car as a spare).
Cleats (no metal spikes)

In Bantam play, the length of the crosse may be 37 to 42 inches. No exceptions, except for the goalkeeper’s crosse, which may be 37 to 60 inches long.
In Junior play only, a long crosse shall be 42 to 62 inches. In Lightning play only, a short crosse shall be 37 to 42 inches, a long crosse shall be 42 to 52 inches, and a team may have a maximum of three players using long crosses, not counting the goalkeeper’s crosse, in the game at any time.

Cleats or Field sneakers
Teams practice two days a week with games on either Saturday or Sunday sometimes both. Boys usually practice at Long Meadow Elementary School and/or Pomperaug High School. Girls practice at Gainfield Elementary School. Practices start at 6 pm. Boys home games are at Long Meadow and Girls games are at Gainfield.
