Having fun and to teach players the basic skills and rules of the game while learning to work as a team. Practices will typically be 60-minute sessions. Gameplay is either 7v7 or 8v8 on a small-sided field. Equal playing time will be strived upon by all coaches.

Boys & Girls Lightning Travel:  3rd and 4th Grades

There will be two practices a week, games are usually scheduled on Saturday and Sunday plus a 2-3 Jamborees.  The emphasis is development while building solid fundamental skills and good habits, introducing the rules of play,  field awareness, and working as a team. The number of players registered will dictate whether teams are purely grade-based or combined grades. Players will be expected to make lacrosse their primary sport in the Spring at this level, but must ensure that coaches are made aware of conflicts upfront, so the coaches can ensure their sufficient numbers for each practice and game. Players will initially practice all positions (Attack, Midfield, Defense and Goalie) before being allowed/asked to play a specific position for games. Practices will be 90-minute sessions. Game play is  8v8 on a small-sided field. Equal playing time will be strived upon by all coaches.

Boys & Girls Junior Travel: 5th and 6th Grades

Junior-level teams will practice two times per week and play two or more games per week.  Practices will be 90-minute sessions. This is full-field lacrosse play with boys 10v10 and girls 12v12. Games are usually scheduled on Saturday and Sunday with typically one mid-week game as well as 3-4 tournaments. Primary emphasis is on reinforcing strong fundamentals and introducing intermediate–to-high level skills, in-game team strategies, and developing team synergy on the field.  The number of players registered will dictate whether teams are purely grade-based or combined grades. Players will be evaluated for specific positions at this level, and predetermined position lines will occur for all games. Players will be expected to make lacrosse their only sport in the Spring at this level, meaning that missing lacrosse practices or games for other Spring sports or non-valid reasons will be frowned upon as well as will limit playing time. IMPORTANT NOTE: Junior-level teams may not offer equal playing time because of line make-up, man-down/man-up scenarios, and situation moments.

Boys & Girls Senior Travel: 7th and 8th Grades

Players will be expected to make lacrosse their only sport in the Spring at this level, meaning that missing lacrosse practices or games for other Spring sports or non-valid reasons will be frowned upon as well as will limit playing time. IMPORTANT NOTE: Senior-level teams may not offer equal playing time because of line make-up, man-down/man-up scenarios, and situation moments.
